MLS NEXT operates with a collaborative governance structure to accelerate and enhance player development in North America. VC Fusion's participation in MLS NEXT means their players will compete against top teams, including MLS Academies and foreign competition, providing a challenging environment for player growth. Ventura County Fusion offers a full elite player pathway for youth players, with teams competing in various leagues including MLS NEXT.

Los Angeles Soccer Club (LASC) https://lasoccerclub.com/, established in 1951, is based in the San Fernando Valley and participates in leagues across Southern California, as well as national and international tournaments. The club's mission is to transform lives through soccer programs and empower youth by fostering an inclusive environment that encourages aspirations and moral values. LASC has a rich history, having won two US Open Cups, several California State Cups, and Los Angeles Municipal Cups. The club offers programs for both youth and adult teams. LASCs youth program launched in 2019, which has grown to include around 75 boys and girls teams of all ages competing in prestigious leagues such as MLS Next, Elite Academy League, The National League, and SoCal Soccer League. They also provide a pathway to high-level adult soccer with men's (UPSL) and women's (UWS) Pro-Am teams. At the heart of LASC is their clubhouse, which serves as a community hub for soccer supporter groups, watch parties, and events. The club prides itself on its diverse membership and German heritage, with members and players from various nationalities and cultures. LASC encourages community involvement through membership, offering opportunities to connect with other enthusiasts, attend events, join teams, or become a voting member to help shape the club's future.

They offer programs for both boys and girls across various age groups and skill levels, including the Girls Academy, DPL, MLS Next, and local club leagues. LA Surf focuses on player development through technical training, including ball skills, 1v1, 2v2, and 3v3 situations, in a fun and positive environment. They have multiple locations, including Pasadena, San Marino, Hollywood, San Fernando Valley, Sherman Oaks, and Southwest. Tryouts are held annually to evaluate players and place them in the optimal environment for their development. Financial aid is available for those who qualify. LA Surf also offers camps and clinics, such as the TOCA Skills Clinics, which utilize technology for precision and consistency in training.
