About the Club

The LAFC Academy is dedicated to developing elite players and individuals, offering a professional pathway for those with the potential to become MLS Homegrown players for LAFC. Launched in 2016 with a single U-12 team, the academy has grown to include seven age groups, from U-11 through U-19. Guided by experienced coaches and leaders, the academy aims to increase access to the game and scout top talent in Southern California. The LAFC Academy is part of MLS NEXT, an elite youth academy system focused on providing high-level competition and comprehensive player development. Despite being relatively young, the academy has achieved success, including winning a CONCACAF championship, producing the first Homegrown players for LAFC's senior team, and sending players to youth national teams.
