About the Club

Breakers FC is an elite youth soccer development academy with roots in Santa Cruz, California, and extending to Europe. Founded in 1992 as Santa Cruz County Youth Premier Futbol Club, the club aims to create an inclusive environment that develops well-rounded players capable of succeeding both on and off the field. As a founding member of MLS Next, Breakers FC provides a platform for top young players to develop under the guidance of world-class coaches. They have partnered with the French Football Federation to build on a model of success that focuses on every player. Breakers FC is undergoing a transition, incorporating professional skills from Europe, new sponsors and investors, and advanced tools. Led by Sports Director and former Yugoslav international player, Niša Saveljić, the club strives to be a national benchmark. Breakers FC follows a sustainable academy structure to support long-term success and community engagement. A core mission is to make soccer accessible to all aspiring players, regardless of socio-economic background, by offering scholarships and opportunities. They are dedicated to developing the future of Central Coast soccer alongside their fans and partners. Breakers FC is located in Santa Cruz County, California. In addition to their youth academy, Breakers FC has also fielded teams in leagues like the Premier Development League (now USL League Two) and the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL).
