About the Club

The Virginia Development Academy (VDA) is a prominent youth soccer club operating primarily out of Woodbridge and Haymarket, Virginia. Established in 2015, VDA formed as a collaborative partnership between Prince William Soccer, Inc. (PWSI) and Virginia Soccer Association (VSA), representing over 8,000 players. The club focuses on long-term player development and provides national-level competition, emphasizing individual growth over team trophies. VDA offers elite programs for both boys and girls, competing in top leagues such as the Elite Clubs National League (ECNL) for both genders, MLS Next, and the Girls Academy League (GAL). A key distinguishing feature is its proven track record in college recruiting, with over 75 players committing to Division 1, 2, and 3 programs in the last four years, and promoting players to the professional level. The academy also hosts an Elite College Showcase, attracting over 100 college coaches, and provides a Men's and Women's U23 summer program for alumni and college players. VDA is recognized for its top-tier coaching staff on the East Coast and offers unique opportunities like the VDA Select Program's trip to Manchester City.
