About the Club

The Richmond Strikers Soccer Club is a prominent youth sports organization based in Henrico County, near Richmond, Virginia, serving the greater Richmond area. Established in 1975 as the Three Chopt Soccer Association, the club adopted the Richmond Strikers name in 1986. It operates as a non-profit, multi-sport club offering soccer, lacrosse, field hockey, cricket, and rugby programs. The Strikers are one of Virginia's largest clubs, boasting over 6,000 members and hosting the Jefferson Cup, a significant youth soccer tournament in the United States. In 2014, they collaborated with the Richmond Kickers to form Richmond United, an elite development program that integrated their U.S. Soccer Development Academy and ECNL programs. As of January 2025, the Richmond Strikers and Richmond Kickers recreation leagues merged to form Richmond United, serving over 10,000 youth players. The club maintains a working relationship with Premier League club Arsenal, emphasizing individual development, family enrichment, and community connection.
