About the Club

Baystars FC is a youth soccer club operating in Gloucester and the Middle Peninsula of Virginia. Established in 1987, it is an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to the development of young soccer players. The club serves players from a youth academy for those under nine up to travel teams for ages eight to eighteen. Baystars FC's mission is to develop soccer skills while helping players grow as individuals and learn the value of community contribution. The club fosters a safe, positive, and supportive environment that emphasizes technical skills, tactical understanding, and character building. Their teams compete in the National Premier League (NPL) and the Tidewater Advanced Soccer League (TASL). They also participate in tournaments sanctioned by the Virginia Youth Soccer Association (VYSA). The club focuses on teaching all aspects of the game, including the physical, psychological, technical, and tactical elements to ensure comprehensive player development.
