About the Club

XL Bellevue United FC (BUFC) is a youth soccer club serving Bellevue, Washington, and surrounding communities including Mercer Island, Newport, and Clyde Hill. The club provides a community-focused environment where children can play with local friends and schoolmates. BUFC is structured to support multi-sport athletes, offering a high-level soccer experience without requiring year-round, single-sport specialization. The club offers programs for a range of ages, from Juniors through High School. A unique feature is its partnership with Mercer Island FC (MIFC), which started around 2021, to create the XL Soccer program. The XL program is designed as a premier development pathway for dedicated players in both communities seeking top-level competitive soccer. Teams compete in leagues and tournaments such as the NPSL Spring League and Washington Youth Soccer State Cups. The club also benefits from guest appearances by players from the professional Seattle Sounders FC and Seattle Reign FC teams.
