About the Club

Villarreal Virginia Academy (VIVA) is a youth soccer organization based in Springfield, Virginia, operating within the Washington-Arlington-Alexandria metropolitan area. Established in 2018, VIVA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to fostering the development of soccer players in a safe, professional, and challenging environment. The club's unique selling point is its official partnership with Villarreal CF of Spain, implementing their renowned methodology with the guidance of onsite Spanish coaches. VIVA emphasizes a "Commitment Beyond The Pitch," focusing on the holistic development of the person in addition to the player. Exceptional players have opportunities for international exposure, including training at Villarreal CF's facilities in Spain. The academy provides scholarships to families in need, promoting inclusivity in the sport. VIVA teams compete in various leagues, including VPSL and NCSL, and have achieved championships in tournaments, with their Girls U15 team winning the EDP Flight Championship.
