About the Club

Mt. Rainier Futbol Club (MRFC) is a youth soccer organization based in Buckley, Washington, serving communities across the Pacific Northwest, including Bonney Lake, Sumner, and Puyallup. Established in 2000, MRFC is a non-profit organization dedicated to developing youth soccer players and fostering a lifelong love for the game. The club offers programs for players ranging from 3 to 18 years old, including Futures Academy for young children (ages 3-8), and competitive programs for U8 through U19. MRFC distinguishes itself with a player-first approach, a holistic development philosophy, and a commitment to nurturing both athletic skills and personal growth. It is recognized as a US Club Soccer Players First licensed club, one of only six in Washington state, emphasizing comprehensive player development, coaching, and parent engagement. MRFC's competitive Academy teams participate in top-tier leagues such as MLS Next for boys, Girls Academy Aspire, Elite Academy League for boys, and the Development Player League (DPL) for girls. Their Jr Academy and Premier teams compete in the Washington Premier League (WPL) and are sanctioned by the Puget Sound Premier League (PSPL). The club provides professional-level training and offers college prep programs to support players' pathways to higher levels of competition. MRFC also received the Sumner-Bonney Lake School District Golden Apple Award in 2020, recognizing its dedication to community outreach. The organization is expanding its offerings through the Mt. Rainier Athletic Club (MRAC) to include other sports.
