About the Club

GFI Academy is a youth soccer club operating in the Houston, Texas area, with locations in The Woodlands, Grand Oaks, Spring Branch, and Sugar Land. The club provides a structured pathway for player development, catering to a wide range of age groups and skill levels. They offer recreational programs for children born between 2010 and 2020, competitive teams for players born from 2006 to 2017, and high-performance programs for athletes born between 2006 and 2015. A unique feature of GFI Academy is its "Players of Life" program, which focuses on developing well-rounded individuals by empowering them in key life areas. The academy asserts it is the only club in Houston with a direct pathway to college and professional soccer, supported by partnerships with international clubs C.F. Fuenlabrada in Spain and C.D. Guadalajara in Mexico. For its elite players, GFI Academy offers top-tier competitive programs, including MLS Next and MLS Next Homegrown for boys. The girls' high-performance programs include the Girls Academy (GA) Aspire, the Development Player League (DPL), and GA Futures. The club also provides a route to the professional level through its USL2 team.
