BLFC is recognized as one of the largest and fastest-growing soccer programs in its region. The club offers a variety of soccer-specific training programs and provides financial scholarships to players. Bloomingdale Lightning FC teams compete in prominent leagues including the Elite Clubs National League (ECNL), the National Premier League (NPL), the Northern Illinois Soccer League (NISL), the Illinois Women's Soccer League (IWSL), and the USL youth academy league.
