About the Club

South Valley Chivas Academy is a competitive youth soccer club operating in the southern Central Valley of California, with programs in Porterville and Visalia. The club has been established for many years, serving as the competitive arm of the Porterville Soccer League. South Valley Chivas distinguishes itself through a coaching philosophy that prioritizes individual player development, technical skill, tactical understanding, and holistic growth, including character building and academic support. The academy is dedicated to developing elite players for state, collegiate, professional, and youth national teams, and also focuses on providing opportunities for at-risk and under-represented youth. Its players have received invitations for trials with professional clubs like FC Juarez from Liga MX and MLS Academy teams such as Real Salt Lake, and have participated in Mexican National Team tryouts. South Valley Chivas is a founding member of the top division of the NorCal ECNL Regional League, commencing in the 2025-2026 season, and holds National Premier League (NPL) status. The club is also affiliated with NorCal Premier.
