About the Club

Sonny G Academy (SGA) is a high-performance youth soccer and academic institution located in Austin, Texas, serving the broader Central Texas region including Pflugerville, Round Rock, Leander, Lakeway, Buda/Kyle. Established as a pre-K through 12th-grade private school, SGA integrates rigorous academics with elite soccer training, with enrollment open for the 2024/2025 school year. The academy provides a holistic development program, offering student-athletes year-round training, nutritional coaching, and mental conditioning. A key distinguishing feature is the significantly increased time on the field, averaging four times more than typical youth soccer leagues. SGA is a recognized 2025-26 MLS NEXT Academy Division Member Club, providing a clear pathway for aspiring professional players. The club also offers opportunities for international travel, allowing student-athletes to compete against global teams in friendlies and tournaments. Through its SGA Pro Network, students gain real-world insights from professional athletes and industry leaders. SGA serves a wide range of age groups through its academy, camps for players aged 7 through high school, and 5v5 futsal and soccer leagues. The academy maintains small class sizes, with an average student-teacher ratio of 12:1, fostering an individualized learning environment.
