About the Club

Richmond United is a prominent youth soccer organization operating across the greater Richmond, Virginia area, encompassing Chesterfield County, Richmond City, and Henrico County. The club was established through the strategic alignment of two successful youth soccer clubs, the Richmond Strikers and Richmond Kickers Youth, uniting approximately 10,000 players. Richmond United is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, committed to providing affordable and accessible youth soccer, actively working against the "pay-to-play" model. The club distinguishes itself with bilingual support, a reliance on volunteer coaches for recreational programs, and a mission focused on community impact through soccer. Richmond United offers competitive programs for U9-U19 players at National, Elite, and Premier levels. Their teams compete in top-tier leagues, including the Elite Clubs National League (ECNL) for both boys and girls, with the ECNL Girls Club ranked #25 nationally for the 2024-25 season. Additionally, Richmond United fields a U20 pre-professional team in the USL Academy, providing a direct pathway to professional soccer through its affiliation with the Richmond Kickers' pro team. The club also participates in the National Premier League (NPL) and provides a college advisory director to support player recruitment.
