About the Club

Michigan Futbol Academy (MFA) is a youth soccer organization operating in West Michigan, with primary locations in Grand Rapids and Lakeshore. Established in 2017, MFA has grown to become the largest youth soccer club in West Michigan, serving approximately 2,300 athletes across 117 teams in 2023. The club offers comprehensive programming for boys and girls ranging from U4 (Juniors) through U19, catering to all skill levels from recreational to elite. MFA distinguishes itself through year-round programs hosted at premier sports facilities, featuring outdoor turf and grass fields, and indoor courts. The academy provides integrated development opportunities in both soccer and futsal, supported by a professional and passionate coaching staff. A core tenet of MFA is its holistic player development approach, emphasizing character, capability, and community through a dedicated core values program. Michigan Futbol Academy is set to join MLS NEXT as an expansion club for the 2025-26 season, competing in U13 through U19 age groups. This affiliation provides a clear pathway to the professional level, connecting with an MLS NEXT Pro team launching in Grand Rapids. Additionally, MFA teams participate in competitive leagues such as the Grand Valley Soccer Association (GVSA) and the Michigan State Premier Soccer Program (MSPSP). The club is committed to making soccer accessible and affordable, offering budget-friendly programs with transparent costs.
