About the Club

Lowcountry United Soccer Academy (LUSA) is a youth soccer organization operating in the Lowcountry region of South Carolina, with a presence in Charleston. The club is associated with James Island Youth Soccer Club (JIYSC), which is recognized as South Carolina's oldest soccer club. Lowcountry United Soccer Academy offers competitive programs designed for players from U13 through U19. The club focuses on holistic player development within a challenging and supportive environment, aiming to cultivate a love for soccer. Lowcountry United Soccer Academy provides a pathway for advanced players through participation in several top competitive leagues. For boys, the club competes in the MLS NEXT New Competition Tier and the National Academy League (NAL). Girls' teams participate in the Girls Academy Aspire League (DPL) and the Development Premier League (DPL). Additionally, the club's U13-U19 teams compete in the National Premier Leagues (NPL) within the South Atlantic Premier League Conference and the South Carolina Youth Soccer Association (SCYSA). These programs expose players to regional and national competition, supporting their development towards higher levels of play.
