About the Club

LAFC So Cal Youth is a prominent youth soccer organization operating in Southern California, specifically serving the West Valley area. The club's roots trace back to the West Valley Soccer League (WVSL), established in 1966, and it was formally created in 2006 through the merger of two significant Southern California clubs, So Cal United and Samba, initially operating as Real So Cal. In 2021, Real So Cal partnered with the Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) to form LAFC So Cal Youth, integrating professional expertise and a clear pathway to the LAFC Academy for elite players. LAFC So Cal Youth offers both recreational and competitive programs for players aged 4 to 19, serving over 4,000 youth soccer players. A unique selling point is its direct affiliation with a Major League Soccer (MLS) club, providing access to professional staff, player development methods, and a pathway to the LAFC Academy. The club emphasizes player development and boasts a strong record of college placement, with numerous alumni advancing to collegiate and professional levels. Their competitive teams participate in top-tier leagues, including ECNL (Elite Clubs National League) for both boys and girls, ECNL Regional League, and SOCAL. The club has also achieved six United States National Championships under its previous Real So Cal identity.
