Albany Alleycats
About the Club
Albany Alleycats Soccer Club is a youth soccer organization based in the Capital District of New York State, including Albany and Colonie, NY. The club was founded in 1994, initially as a semi-professional men's team, and has since evolved into an elite developmental platform for youth soccer. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit educational organization, its mission is to foster the physical, mental, and emotional growth of youth through soccer. The Alleycats serve players across a wide range of age groups, from U8 through U23. A distinguishing feature of the club is its commitment to providing a supportive and rewarding environment with professional coaching, emphasizing skill learning and player development. The Alleycats are recognized as the only club in upstate New York competing in the Elite Clubs National League (ECNL) at the regional league level, with U13-U19 girls in the Northeast division of the ECNL Regional League and U11-U12 girls in the Pre-ECNL Northeast division. Their second teams for U13-U19 age groups compete in the National Premier League (NPL), aligning all teams under the US Club Soccer umbrella. Additionally, the club offers programs that compete in the Elite Development Program (EDP) and has players involved in Olympic Development Programs (ODP). The club also fields a women's team that competes in the UPSL Women's league. Alleycats players have achieved participation with the US Youth National Team, US Youth National Team camps, and various USYS Regional and Eastern NY State ODP Teams.
