Away Goal Rule
A tie-breaking rule in some two-legged ties where goals scored away from home count more than goals scored at home if the aggregate score is tied. (Note: Abolished in UEFA competitions as of 2021).
Offside
A rule stating a player is in an offside position if they are nearer to the opponent's goal line than both the ball and the second-last opponent when the ball is played to them.
Penalty Kick (PK)
A direct free kick taken from the penalty spot (12 yards out), awarded for a foul committed inside the penalty area.
