Black Hills Rapids Soccer Club operates in the West River area of South Dakota and is based in Rapid City. The club was established in 2014 through a merger of the Rapid City Youth Soccer League and the Rushmore Soccer Club. Black Hills Rapids serves a wide range of players, offering programs for children as young as three years old up to the U-19 age group. A unique feature of the club is its partnership with the professional MLS club, the Colorado Rapids, as part of the Rapids adidas Alliance. This affiliation provides a direct pathway for players aspiring to reach professional levels. The club's most competitive teams participate in the National Premier League (NPL). Through its partnership, players have tryout opportunities with the Colorado Rapids Development Academy and Elite Clubs National League (ECNL) teams. The club's Select program teams also compete in the South Dakota State Championship, aiming to advance to US Soccer Regional Championships.

About State Associations

State Associations are official members of US Youth Soccer, acting as the governing body for youth soccer within their respective states.

They are responsible for organizing state cup competitions, managing the Olympic Development Program (ODP) at the state level, coordinating coaching education, and overseeing affiliated local leagues and clubs.

If you are looking to start a new club, register a team for a sanctioned tournament, or participate in ODP, your State Association is your primary point of contact.
