The St. Louis CITY SC Academy is a professional development academy for boys, focused on cultivating top soccer talent in the St. Louis area and beyond. Their goal is to be a leading youth soccer development program in North America, offering high-level training and competition for boys aiming for professional soccer careers. The academy covers all fees and expenses for participants. They are dedicated to developing players through a comprehensive program and contribute to the growth of soccer in the region. The academy emphasizes personal development, including physical, social, and academic growth. They provide access to world-class coaching, training, and evaluation methods used in top European leagues, competitive play in the MLS Next league, and the latest sports technology. The academy is for players committed to a rigorous, year-round program that fosters teamwork, education, and self-growth. Age groups include U14, U15, U16, and U18, competing in the MLS Next Academy League. This competition prepares players for potential MLS Next Pro and MLS opportunities. The academy is currently only for boys because MLS Next is an all-boys development league, but St. Louis CITY SC supports soccer accessibility for all children. Players demonstrating necessary skills can advance to the development team and potentially the MLS first team. The academy trains at various locations and will utilize the club's training and performance center. Players are selected through scouting, invitational trials, and open community trials.
